CM Punjab Dhee Rani Program 2025 By Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab, has launched the Punjab Dhee Rani Program to support deserving parents in fulfilling their social and religious duty of marriage. This initiative aims to address the economic challenges that prevent low-income parents from arranging marriages for their children. The program showcases government support, instills hope, and enhances societal stability.
Set to commence on February 2025, the Punjab Dhee Rani Program will be the largest collective wedding initiative in Punjab’s history, bringing together 3,000 underprivileged girls for a grand celebration. Each girl will receive gifts worth 166,000 rupees and 40,000 rupees for wedding expenses, along with a token gift of 100,000 rupees from the Chief Minister. This program aims to alleviate the financial burden of weddings and support families in need.
The program will provide meals for 20 guests per couple and highlight Punjab’s cultural heritage of collective weddings. Brides will receive essential furniture, household items, and clothing to ensure a smooth start to their married life. The initiative underscores the government’s dedication to supporting underprivileged families and promoting social stability.
Applications for the Dhee Rani programme can be submitted through the online portal cmp.punjab.gov.pk and helpline 1312. Teams will visit applicants’ homes to verify eligibility, ensuring transparency and fairness. The government will also arrange meals for the wedding ceremonies, further easing the burden on these families.
